Sacramento #9 of 50 for risk of ID THEFT

NEW TERM ALERT!! IDTheft=iJacking
from www.stopijacking.com

What is iJacking?

Whenever crooks swipe personal information to assume an identity and commit fraud — we call it iJacking. What would happen if someone created a false life based on real, personal information stolen from you and others? If they hijacked your very identity?
The use of a false identity has serious consequences for most banks, mortgage lenders, potential employers, utility companies, credit bureaus, or anyone else who makes decisions based on your name, credentials, birth date, or Social Security number.

If you become an iJacking victim, you stand to lose much more than money while restoring your good name. Imagine having to sacrifice vacation days or wages because you needed to be on the phone with creditors — that's time and money you can't recover. And the emotional stress and frustration associated with identity recovery can take their toll on your personal life as well.
